Kenichi Tago - forehand net shot

Notice how the racket movement is generated when playing a net shot. As you slow down during the approach to the net, use the movement of your torso to produce a stable, consistent shot.

Kenichi Tago - backhand net shot

Benefits:

Natural timing: your lunging foot lands on the court before you make contact with the shuttle, helping the movements flow naturally in sequence.

Efficient recovery: the backward movement of your torso helps you return towards the centre of the court with less effort.

Better positioning: you move only as close to the shuttle as necessary, making full use of your arm’s reach during the lunge.
